Slazenger Mens 3rd team finished the season on a high, after beating the league leaders on their home turf. Slaz traveled out to Grimsby on the last day of the season, looking to finish on the same good form they had demonstrated the week earlier. Slazengers ladies thirds were determined to end the season on a high & carry on the winning format from the previous games. They started positively from the off & really took the game to Leeds who were then forced into playing a defensive line-up. Slazengers mens first team finished the season with a 4-1 win against a physical Rotherham side. Slazengers pressed from the whistle and went close on a number of occassions, Paul Wiper finally getting the break through with a deft touch to elude the Rotherham keeper. Sunday saw Slazengers entertain local rivals Wakefield 3rd team with Slazengers putting in a strong performance to come away with a 5-1 win. Slazengers started brightly and took the lead when Ben Graham finished off a good run from Dan Perry. Wakefield rallied and drew level only for Dan Perry to restore Slazengers lead just before the break.
