Slaz knew that they had to beat Halifax to avoid a possible bottom three place this week. Although Halifax had been beaten soundly by Slaz the first game of the season, they had some good results under their belt and an easy game was by no means guaranteed. Slaz we missing a few players so asked a couple to step up and prove themselves, which they did with vigour. Man of the match Jack Mumford who scored 2 goals and sealed the win had a great game causing confusion and error in the opposition D. Slaz Mens 2nds anticipated a tough encounter with top of the table rivals Sheffield Hallam 6th's. The team set to work, and were rewarded with two goals within the first 10 minutes, putting the team in a strong position; Mick Claes and Matthew Stacey netting early on.
