Slazengers 1st have not beaten Normanby Park in many years. Today however Slazenger were on the back of not losing a game this year. Both teams were off to a fast pace and tried to tire the other side out by moving the ball round the back. Both sides had strong midfields that looked like they could turn the game. Due to bad weather this was slaz's first match in a month and it could've been a tough one but Slaz managed to start brightly and took the game to Doncaster. Slaz took an early lead through Ben Graham and thois seemed to wake Doncaster up as they started to play the better hockey. Slazenger 3's wanted to start their latest fixture with a high tempo and take the game to their hosts Chapeltown from the start. The ladies seconds faced tough conditions this week, playing at high altitudes on top of Mount Halifax; with arctic temperatures and little oxygen due to the height. This however would not faze them as they put up a strong fight against top-of-the-league Halifax.
