Slaz knew they could increase the gap between them and bottom of the league, but it wouldn’t be.an easy game. Slaz fired the ball round and looked good again man of the match was Isaac Fisher who had another faultless performance.
Richard Tuddenham got a hatrick. Isaac Fisher got one and Mark Swinden managed to hit one right that thundered into the top of the net. Slaz are in a solid mid table position.
Match Report
Slaz were slipping up early on but kept in the game and created lots of chances in the first half, but due to misfortune and some great saves Kingston were in the lead at half time. Slaz failed to challenge the ball when not in possession and Kingston made their few chances count.
Slaz did hold the ball well and had most of the possession for the entire game and in the second half were in the opposition half, but always looked short of scoring.
Slaz failed to have the spark they have had for previous week and will be keen to get some more points back next week.

Slaz won the push and started with a spring in their step, moving the ball round well, shifting across the pitch and moving hull around. Neither side we able to get an early goal but both created good chances.
Keeper James Cowden had a great game and did well to keep several good shots out of the goal. Slaz got the break with a great solo goal effort from Dan Perry.

Match Report
Slaz’s newly promoted side were missing a few team members against last seasons demoted side, and struggled to perform to the higher standard shown by Hull.
Kingston applied heavy pressure and for 15 minutes Mark Swindon was the only player to cut through the tight net of Kingston.
Slaz got their stride and began to move the ball round looking good in parts. But the pressure from Kingston showed and Slaz conceded 2 goals in the first half.
Man of the Match Mark Swindon continued to excel and create good breaking chances for the Slaz forwards. Newcomers Mick Claes, Robin Brearton and Matt Stacey didn’t let the side down and put up good personal performances for this season. Jez Whawell also hassled the Kingston midfield well regaining possession of the ball several times from intangible positions.
Later on in the second half Mark Swindon scored Slaz’s only goal from a short corner, but Kingston had the game wrapped up at that point with a final score line of 4-1
Match Report
Top of the table Kingston upon Hull men's first team travelled to Slazenger expecting a walk over and although Slazenger lost out 5-1, the game was much closer than the final scoreline suggests. As you would expect, Hull started strongly and with a number of ex-national league players, they controlled possession and territory but with no end product. It was only through the award of a disputed short corner that provided Hull with the breakthrough. Slazenger began to gather some possession of their own and good running from John Sykes and Dan Perry created some good opportunities only for them to go unconverted.
It was Hull who doubled their lead through a fast break which the Slazenger midfield weren’t able to break down. Slazenger got the reward their play deserved before the break however with Ben Graham converting a Simon Chamberlain through ball to go in at the break 2-1 down. The second half began with Slazengers continuing their good play but were caught out when Hull cleared the ball quickly and converted to go 3-1 up.
Slazengers felt the goal should never have stood due to a foul in back play but the umpires were unsighted. The half continued evenly with both sides creating chances and it was only down to 2 late Hull goals that gave the scoreline a more onesided look. Dan Perry took the man of the match award for Slazengers with good contributions from Paul Wiper and Jack Kitchen.
Match Report
Slazengers mens first eleven visited a very strong Hull second team on Saturday which consisted of a number of former national league players with hopes of causing an upset but were outclassed and out muscled by the opposition. It seemed as though the Slazengers players minds were fixed on the huge funfair at the side of the pitch rather than the game and they found themselves 4-0 down after barely 20 minutes.
A change of formation and some strong words seemed to give Slazengers a bit of a kick start and they held their own throughout the remainder of the first half and competed well in the second half only to concede late on to go down 5-0. Slazengers did create some chances, both Jack Kitchen and John Sykes came close and Ben Graham really should have done better when striking at goal from a narrow angle.
Slazengers will hope they have come up against two of the better sides in the league in their first two outings of the season, however whether this is the case will tell in the coming weeks.
