Match Report
The ladies 2nd's were on the losing end of a 7 goal reversal against a clinical City of York 3rd's. The kind of rough performance which can only be remedied with wine. Sian Glover took player of the match, the rest of the game, let's say is better left forgotten to history!

Slazengers started strong against York, with attacks down the wings. Unfortunately for Slazengers York made a break down the middle to be the first to score, they then managed to convert a penalty corner on the half time whistle.
Slazenger came out after half time determined to stake their claim in the game. After multiple shots from several players, Courtney scored a fantastic goal from a tight angle. Slazenger dominated throughout most of the second half, before York begun a sustained attack in the last 10minutes to score 2 last minute goals, despite an incredible defence from players of the match Gemma Syrett and Keeper Erin Haigh.
Match Report
Slazenger L2s were at home again this week to City of York L3s. Both teams fresh from a winning start to the season, everyone was keen to take another 3 points. The first half saw York applying a lot of pressure to the Slazenger defence and after a sustained attack they were rewarded with a goal. Slazenger were determined not to go into half time chasing the game and managed to link up play down the left, switch to the right and a drive towards the goal, Vice Captain Louise Haigh claimed her first goal of the season.
It was all even at 1-1 as teams considered their tactics at half time. The second half was opened by a goal from Courtney Rowley, and Mia Davis scoring only 2 minutes later. York did not give up the fight and forced Slazenger defence and Keeper Erin Haigh, into protecting their lead from multiple short corners. The defence prevailed and through more beautiful link up play and a strong attack, Nichola Swindon claimed Slazenger another goal.
The game ended in Slazenger claiming all 3 points with a 4-1 win. Player of the match went to midfielder Courtney Rowley for showing her development and strength today.

Match Report
Slazenger ladies 2s welcomed City of York for a 12pm pushback. The game started well for Slazenger with effective passes resulting in good chances. However, the visitors also pushed forward for chances and were rewarded with a Penalty flick which was firmly pushed past the keeper to put the visitors 0-1 up. Slazenger kept their motivation and their reward came shortly after when a well worked penalty corner came off the stick of Naomi Frith for an aerial shot straight into the back of the net, 1-1 at half time.
The second half brought the visitors out with added energy and the game quickly changed, with another 5 goals being added to the visitors tally when Slazenger were caught out on the break. However Slazenger were not to be deterred with Mia Davies scoring 2 further goals. The first one coming from great one touch passing around the defenders at the top of the penalty box, from where midfielder Alex Stead pushed a neat ball straight onto the stick of the on-running Mia who confidently pushed it between the pads of the keeper and onto the backboard. The final goal came when Slazenger were awarded a long corner which was driven straight out to Nicci, who in turn drove it straight back in towards the goal, drawing the keeper in as she did so, before crossing it back resulting in a deflection taking it into the air so Mia could bring it down into the goal once again.
The game ended 3-6 to the visitors with Naomi Frith being recognised as player of the match for hard work throughout the game.

Match Report
A tough game from the start with things being fairly even until nearly half time when York managed to score. After plenty of chances Slazenger just couldn't find the back of the net and then York scored again sealing the deal. Final score 2-0 to York. Man of the match went to Ellie Page.
