After their close defeat away to Hull University before christmas, the team were looking for a big win to put their promotion efforts back on track. with the squad back to full strength, this was duly delivered with a 10-0 victory over the visitors. Slazenger 4's lost their previous encounter against Barnsley so it was very encouraging that Slazengers started this match with a high tempo and built penetrating attacks from the start. Slazenger Mens 1st's got off to a flying start, even with the 10:30 push back away at Chapeltown. Within 10 minutes, the team had secured the first goal, in what turned out to be a fast pivoting scoreline; with Slaz and Chapeltown fighinting for the upperhand.
