A much-changed Slazenger fourths secured a 6-6 draw at Halifax against the host club's fourth string. Slazenger scored the opening goal through John Sykes, who along with Dave Smyth scored further goals to give the visitors a 402 lead. The fourths failed to turn first half pressure into points as Ian Wiper went close from two corners and Paul Wiper narrowly missing from James Walkers superb cross.
