Slazenger Men's 3rd team took to the field for their first competitive fixture since their promotion last season to Division 6, with a dominant display away at Leeds Adel Carnegie 6th's. Slazenger 3rd's travelled to Normanby Park on Saturday, knowing only a win would see them secure promotion. After a jittery start, a 6-1 victory put it beyond doubt. Slaz took the push back, starting brightly, though with some early nerves. Slazenger Mens 3rds stand on the brink of promotion, after their final home game against Chapeltown 4th's Slazenger 3's got of to another flying start for their final home fixture of the season against Chapeltown, scoring from a penalty corner within the first 60 seconds. Slazenger's couldn't have started their game against Sheffield Bankers any better with debutant Matthew Stacey neatly converting a goal scoring opportunity into the opposition goal in the 1st minute.
