Slazenger thirds were hugely dissapointed with the 2-0 reversal at the hanfs of a lively Sheffield HAllam University seconds side.
Slazenger dominated the early stages of both halves but failed to score.
And at the game wore on Slazenger’s marking deteriorated and, despite excellent saves by Micky Turner and sound saves from Thomas Penistone, Sheffield bagged a couple of late goals.

Slazenger thirds were out played by Leeds University thirds and crashed to a 4-0 defeat.
Slazenger conceded three goals early in the game and then fought resolutely to keep the scoring down.
Young goalkeeper Thomas Penistone deserved a lot of credit for his gutsy performance and there was an impressive display from sweeper Micky Turner. Both played key roles in keeping the score to respectable proportions.

Slazenger thirds shared the spoils, 2-2 from an incident packed high-tempo game with Ben Rhydding 5th’s
Slazenger took the lead through a Mickey Turner flick shot, deflected in by Craig Lee.
Skipper Geoff Birkett restored Slazenger’s lead after Ben Rhydding had equalised, which they gained for the second time of asking as the final seconds ticked away.
Martin Lofthouse was Slazenger’s man of the match.
On Saturday, Slazenger thirds are away to Leeds University thirds, push back 12 noon.

Slazenger thirds made hard work of their 2-1 win over Zeneca firsts.
Slazenger trailed 1-0 at half time and had to pull out all the stops in the second half to gain match winning goals, both scored by Craig Lee.
Slazenger thirds travel to Ben Rhydding on Saturday 12noon start.

Late goal specialists Slazenger thirds came up trumps again to defeat Rotherham fourths 2-1.
Slazenger worked hard to recover form a one goal deficit and Richard whawell finished off a lovely four-man move to equalise before half time.
Micky Turner and Paul Johnson stifled Rotherham in the second half while Craig Lee popped up with the last-gasp clincher.
