Slazenger went into the first- team Yorkshire Cup on Sunday buoyed by the previous day's win and emerged one better with a 4-0 win over Ramgarhia. Slazengers long trip to Newcastle University in North Division 2 took its toll for a while, but ultimately proved successful. Newcastle started strongly and put the Slazenger defence under pressure but they were able to absorb anything thrown at them.
