Sharpshooter Chris Wood scored four times as Slazenger fifths lifted the Plate at the expense of opponents Leeds The final finally went ahead after being cancelled the weekend before because of the bad weather and Slazenger got off to a slow start against well organised Leeds defence. Laura Teasdale and Julie Finch claimed hat-tricks as Slazenger Ladies hit double figures for the second time in as many weeks, this time against Yorkshire Division 6 opposition Leeds Thirds. Slazenger immediately gained control in midfield and within minutes Teasdale connected with the ball to open the scoring. Slazenger U14's enjoyed mixed fortunes in their games against Leeds, Rotherham and Bradford but there were a number of fine performers. The side beat Leeds 4-0 with Rich Hutchins, Gareth Preston and Ester Hill outstanding with some fin teamwork from Laura Simmons and Laura Teasdale on the right wing.
