Slazenger had been monitoring the snow situation on the Rotherham pitch on the Friday and it looked like the game was going to be cancelled. Despite the Rotherham website confirming the cancellation on the Saturday the match went ahead. Slazenger's ladies 3rd team battled hard against high flying Lincoln (University( Roses, to no avail. The newcomers to the Yorkshire leagues were fast paced and skillful, but slaz stood firm for 20 mins, playing with three at the back. The team worked hard for each other but the deadlock was eventually broken by Lincoln as the pressure proved too much, and the defences were broken.
