The ladies 4th team travelled for a floodlit game to York. It was an evenly matched start, till York managed to take control and kept Slaz on the defensive. The Ladies development team played their first home game of this season against City of York 6. With the lots of support both on and off the field for the Slazenger’s youngsters, the start was evenly matched with neither team taking control. Report: 13-10-2012 – Ladies 4th’s (1) vs. (10) Sheffield University Bankers
The ladies development team travelled to Sheffield for their first fixture of the season. The team comprised mainly year 9 and 10 girls, most of whom are new to the club, 3 ladies from the successful Back to Hockey sessions that ran through the summer and 2 new senior members who have some recent hockey experience. Ladies Development Team
After the success of the Mens development team in bringing new players through from junior to senior hockey, the ladies section will be entering a Ladies development team into the new Yorkshire Ladies Development League. The team will aim to develop U14 and U16 players who have yet to have an opportunity to compete at senior level, as well as being a great place for new adult players to learn the ropes.
