The ladies 3rd string travelled away to fellow league competitors Chapletown 2nd's. Chapeltown presented a strong physical opposition, and gave the visitors an aggressive game. However, Slaz rose to the challenge, creating a close fought, competitive match. Slazengers played some great hockey, and were rewarded with a brace of goals from Elle Poskett. Slazenger's 3rds took on Colne Valley at their new home Mirfield Free Grammer School and it was set to be an interesting battle. The first half was dominated by slazenger's with the defence working hard to keep Colne Valley out of the D. The midfield pushed the ball into slazenger's attacking D, but failed to convert. Slazenger's ladies 3rds took on Harrogate at slazenger's. With both teams equal on points, the prospect of the game was mouthwatering, and it didn't disappoint. This exciting game of hockey was a spectacle to watch with end to end chances! Slaz got the first break with a magnificent Claire Dunstan run through the middle, only for the shot to go wide. Brigg then caught slaz on the break and obtained a penalty corner which they converted 1-0 brigg. Slaz kept the heads up and after many attempts on goal, slaz won a PC.
