First game of the season started really well. With a new line up for the 2s getting used to different positions and new faces. Slazengers had most of the attacking play and a goal from Naomi Frith from a short corner saw Slazengers play most the game winning 1-0. Yorkshire champions Slazenger Boys U10 hockey team got there new season underway with some hard fought games at Weetwood on Sunday. The new look team with only Tommy Randle remaining from last seasons triumph opened with a 0-3 loss against Brigg. Slazengers 12 Hour Charity Sportathon
65 years ago this year, Slazenger's Sports Club was opened. To celebrate the start of the season, we are running a "Sportathon"; a 12 hour hockey game, on Saturday 12th September with celebrations after, all raising money for Cancer Research. A lot of our Members have been affected one way or another by this terrible disease and this is our opportunity to help beat it, with an aim of raising £15,000.
