On Sunday Slazengers took on the promising Sheffield University bankers team in a home league fixture. Bankers started strongly getting the first goal of the game from a short corner. Slaz finally had a home game and entertained an experienced Sheffield Hallam side. With captain Danny Croxall sidelined due to injury and acting as coach, the slaz side had a higher amount of experience this week. Slazengers Ladies first team made it a hat-trick of wins this week against Doncaster Ladies 2's. The surprisingly warm October weather made it a slow start, but Jessica Rudge scored the first goal thanks to some great team passing. Claire Dunstan was quick to follow with a strong hit to the bottom corner. Although 2-0 up at half time, the team were not stopping there. Slazenger mens 1st's had an early start for their journey to Lincoln based Lindum HC for a midday start;travelling with a reduced squad, it looked like a tough encounter for the team.
