Slazenger went to goals astray in the opening ten minutes and never recovered from this disastrous start. The visitors eventually found their feet, but failed to find their usual fluid style. Slazenger fourths secured a scrppy 2-2 draw with Bradford Univerrsity. Nine-man Bradford held off Slazenger until just beforehelf-time when Simon Hurley opened the scoring.
