There were mixed results for Slazengers U14 Boys as they started their new campaign in nervous fashion with a number of new players in the starting line-up. Slazengers got off to a disappointing start as they fell 4-0 to Sheffield in the opening match despite the best efforts of Scott Fisher, Thomas Kent and Jack Taylor in defence. Report: 17-10-2004 – Boys U14’s
This was the U14 first tournament day of the season. Slazengers set out with three players short but still turned out with the hope of borrowing players. We did manage to borrow players from both Leeds and Doncaster, thanks to all those lads. We also had three new players Aled, Robert and Adam all of whom have only being playing a matter of weeks, but they held their own and played well. Slazenger Starlets Selected for Yorkshire
SLAZENGER Hockey Club is celebrating after four of its young players were picked for the West Yorkshire Youth Hockey teams. The quartet are Lee Secker (U16), Gareth Ventom (U14), Jermane Cockerill and Christopher Wood (U13s) and they were picked after attending four weeks of development training with 30 other players from each age group, with 16 eventually making the cut.
