Slazenger gained three victories from their five matches in a Boys U12s hockey tournament at Leeds on Sunday. Despite having the majority of possession in the opening game against York B, Slazengers failed to cash in but Isaac Fisher cooly scored after excellent work by man of the tournament Jack Kitchen, who beat three defenders before putting in a telling pass, to win 1-0. Slazenger Ladies went seven-up against Bingley in their Yorkshire Cup clash triumphing 7-1. They enjoyed a devastating first ten minutes, taking a 3-0 lead, courtesy of Lindsay Harvey, Julie Bear and Sue Swinden. A defensive lapese let in Bingley for a goal after the break, but Slazenger soon upped the pace with further goals added before the final whistle by Lisa Dransfield, Becky Stafford, Caroline Wakenshaw and Harvey.
