Slazenger thirds shared the spoils, 2-2 from an incident packed high-tempo game with Ben Rhydding 5th’s
Slazenger took the lead through a Mickey Turner flick shot, deflected in by Craig Lee.
Skipper Geoff Birkett restored Slazenger’s lead after Ben Rhydding had equalised, which they gained for the second time of asking as the final seconds ticked away.
Martin Lofthouse was Slazenger’s man of the match.
On Saturday, Slazenger thirds are away to Leeds University thirds, push back 12 noon.

Slazenger fourths didn’t have a good day at all against Ben Rhydding sixths.
The weakened side made few in-roads and succombed to five goals without reply.
Slazenger will be hoping for bettr things at home to Huddersfield sevenths on Saturday, push back 3pm.

After a tight start, Slazenger thirds pulled away to record a notable 3-0 win over Ben Rhydding.
Andy Birkett followed up well for the opening goal, lifting well over the grounded goalkeeper. And the second was even better, Richard Whawell getting to the bye-line and pulling the ball back across the D for James Swinden to hammer home.
Man of the match Birkett tucked away the third.

Slazenger fifths found their opening league fixture on grass tough going, And, despite scoring five goals, eventually went down 8-5 to hosts Ben Rhydding 8th’s.
Slazenger trailed 4-1 at half-time but rallied to draw level at 4-4 before finally giving second best to their hosts.
Scorers were Haydn Foster (2), Gavin Kaye, Richard O’Shea and Paul Whitham. Man of the match was debutant Anwar Al-Khaili.
Slazenger are at home to Halifax (on astroturf) on Saturday, 3pm push back.

A Good first half from Slazenger fourths laid the foundations for success over Ben Rhydding sevenths.
The horbury men won by a 5-2 margin. Scorers were Ian Gordon, Ian Wiper and Dave Smyth. The bulk of the goals were scored before half-time after which Slazenger went off the boil and only a second goal by Wiper, sandwiched between two Ben Rhydding strikes saved Slazenger’s blushes.
