Slazenger Ladies 1st team took on mid table Rotherham this week with renewed optimism that they could get a decent result. Another tough game against a team in the top half of the table. The game started well with some good possession and some chances on goal. Slazengers latest match against strong opponents Lincoln was a tough, feisty encounter, with both sides keen to win. After a fairly even opening 10 minutes Slazengers did start to gain the upper hand with Jack Mumford and Rob Whawell working hard in midfield to close the opposition down and deny them time on the ball. Slazengers 4ths played Halifax 4's on Saturday in a nail biting match. It started well for slaz with a goal from Steve Johnson giving them a 1-0 lead and providing them with the confidence they needed to make it to the end of the 1st half on top. Ladies 2nds (1) vs. (0) Pudsey 1st'sThe ladies second team are now ten points clear at the the top of division three after a 1-0 win over pudsey at the weekend.
