Slazengers travelled to Leeds full of confidence after a victory over the top of the league the week before. Slazengers started very slow and was subject to a period of dominance from Leeds , Slazengers scored after a rare attack which lead to a short corner, converted by Richard Tuddenham. Slazengers mens 2nd team recorded their second 1-1 draw in as many weeks on Saturday at home to Leeds. Slazengers will have been pleased with a much improved performance creating a number of chances throughout the game. Slaz had another long trip to Driffield this week with again a young side. The first half was one to forget for the greens as they were losing 4-0 at the break. After half time Slaz pulled one back through a fortunate strike from Josh Dunstan but it wasn't enough to create a fightback as Driffield scored 3 more to round off a deserved victory. From the off, the horbury side knew this weeks match was going to be a tough one. Slazengers Ladies 1's, had a difficult game against undefeated, top of the league team, Adel. The team started off, undeterred, and raring for the match ahead. Slazengers dampened Adel's shine, making the usually dominant team look rather average. The message from our captain this weekend was WIN WIN WIN and that is what the Slazenger's ladies 2nd team set out to do from the off. The Slazenger's ladies pressed hard from the off, keeping possession in the attacking 'D'. Wakefield gained a lucky break and scored with a lifted shot into the top left corner.
