Match Report
In the warm spring sunshine which threatened to dry the otters pockets out, and with an earlier start so as to avoid the football traffic, the ladies 1’s travelled to Hull this weekend - hoping to continue their in beaten run.
The good news is that the unbeaten run continues but the bad being that this is due to a draw and not the usual win so the top spot in the league now goes to Driffield.
Hull started the game strong, and were awarded a number of short corners within minutes of the whistle. The initial enslaught was defended well and conversions denied, however Hull managed to break the deadlock after 15 minutes on their sixth attempt.
The initial goal fired Slaz on - the rest of the half saw Slaz attacking the Hull d but failing to score all but a well worked short corner shortly before half time.
The second half saw Slaz come out fighting and it wasn’t long before a second goal was slipped home.
Slaz continued to dominate but Hull managed an equaliser against the odds - final score 2:2
MVP with a poorly toe went to and with second place now assured, A win against dragons is needed next week to keep championship dreams alive.
