Slazenger Social Summer League 2016

General Guidance:

Remember, this is a social tournament. Play some relaxed hockey – do not kill the opposition! Not all players are the same standard, so adjust your play accordingly. Some teams have keepers. Teams without keepers should have slightly stronger outfield players to reflect this.

There are 80 players this year. A few players will be unavailable each week. If you are looking to get 2 hours of hockey, come down for the other session and fill in where needed.

If there are too many, enjoy the sun and help umpire if you can!

If there are no umpires, play with some honesty.

Rules:

7’s rules apply.

There are no long corners.

Also given the lack of goalkeepers, replace short corners with free hits from the outside of the ‘D’

Kit:

Bring your slaz shirt (or something green) and a black shirt (or something dark). Teams can decide before the fixture who plays in which colour. Don’t forget or you’ll have to wear bibs!
