An excellent keeper effort from Jessica Rudge saw Wakefield having to turn up the pressure after being refused several goals, however they eventually took a 1-0 lead just before half time.
After regrouping and trying many more times to hear the sound of the back board with an excellent attempt from Sarah Cooper, Wakefield took a further lead with another goal.
Defensively Slazengers then remains strong but were unlucky to be able to pull a goal back to return the pressure put on Slazengers by Wakefield. Slazengers travel to Boston Spa next week with much to work on but full of optimism and good spirit.
