Mens 4th team travelled away to Rotherham for their first game of the weekend. Slaz travelled with a slightly weakened side, with several missing members. However the biggest problem proved not to be the lack of numbers, but some impressive goalkeeping from the opposition keeper.
Slaz’s young team played some good linking hockey, but the game was very open, with frequent exchanges of the ball, and attacks at both ends. Captain Giles Field pulled off some impressive saves, keeping the game deadlocked at 0-0. However late in the goal, youngster Aiden Hopkinson managed to slot the ball past the goalie to edge Slazenger ahead.
