Slaz were unlucky to come away with a loss, after enjoying the lions share of attacking opportunities in an open game at the Southfield’s pitch.
The team worked hard, though struggled to achieve dominance in midfield. With such openness, the defence had to put in a big performance. Karen Bates and Julie Finch at the back short work of the Halifax front line.
Despite several efforts by Elle Poskett and Natasha Wiper, slaz were unable to convert. Halifax however, took advantage of a breakaway to score what turned out to be the winner late in the first half.
