With 3 games played of the season, Slaz sit top of the table, after a fast paced, non-stop game of hockey.
Slazenger’s 1st team won 3-0 against Sheffield’s Chapeltown’s 2nd team. Though they were sluggish to start, a series of well crafted moves came together to feed Richard Tuddenham the ball to score the opener.
Mark Swindon and Jonny White worked well in midfield to break down Chapeltown’s defences and fed Slazengers’ front line with more of the ball. Slazengers continued to dominate the first half allowing Dan Perry room to canter across the top of the D for a smooth reverse shot which flew in the opposite corner of the goal.
Jack Kitchen sent more balls down the field, which pressed on Chapeltown, giving Tuddenham his second goal. All that was left to note was the open goal that Mark Swindon swept wide of the post.
Slazengers anticipate a tough match next week as they hope to maintain their undefeated run in Lincoln next week.
