Slaz went away to title chase rotherham, ready to secure vital points, but never really got going. The match was scrappy from the start, and a poor astroturf surface slowed the ball down. This worked against Slaz’s quick passing game, and the ball became stuck in midfield.
Some great work from Isaac fisher, James Bennett and Robin Brearton hastled the defence, and went close several times. However, Rotherham were quick on the break, and scored the opener.
Slaz fought back but struggled to gain the upper hand due to some appalling umpiring decisions. In the end rotherham took another 2 in the second half, undoubted aided by home field circumstances.
