Slazengers Mens first team got back to winning ways with a convincing 4-0 victory against promotion hopefulls Ben Rhydding thirds.Slazengers were never really in trouble and soon took the lead when Jack Kitchen converted a short corner with a neat drag flick. Slazengers continued to press and soon doubled their lead when they were awarded a penalty flick. Simon Chamberlain stepped forward to neatly convert from the spot.
Ben Rhydding tried to get themselves into the game only to be constantly thwarted by the defensive pairing of Phil Midgley and Will Buckley and it was Slazengers who took a 3-0 lead into the break when Richard Tuddenham finished well after Ben Grahams initial shot was saved. The second half was much more even with both teams creating chances, James Walker made some good saves in the Slazenger goal as did the Rhydding keeper but Slazengers made the game more than safe when Danny Perry finished well after been put through by Tuddenham.
Phil Midgley took the man of the match award for Slazengers who will look to push on away at Leeds Adel Carnegie next week.
