Slaz Notch up Record Win!
It may have been bonfire night the night before, but all the fireworks were down at Slazenger Hockey Club on Saturday afternoon. The visitors were Driffield, newly relegated to the Yorkshire Ladies Premier Division.

The Horbury side got off to a fine start, with promising youngster Jessica Rudge scoring from close range. Sarah Cooper then scored the first of her five goals and Slazenger were cruising. Slazenger were carving open the Driffield defence at will and at half time, the score was 5-0.
Despite still missing some key players, Slazenger’s comfortable lead never looked in danger and further goals by Andrea Wallace, Sarah Hobbs and Claire Mills sealed the biggest win for the ladies first team in this division.
Player of the Match was ‘Cooperwoman’ Sarah Cooper with five amazing goals.
