Hockey’s Got Talent
The search for hockey’s most exciting free style talent has arrived! As part of the activities supporting the forthcoming Samsung FIH Women’s Champions Trophy in Nottingham in July, we are searching to find England’s most gifted free style hockey stars. We want to see what amazing skills you or your team / club members can display with a hockey stick and ball – the coolest tricks, best juggles, fastest spins and more.
It would be great to have a vibrant mix of talents on our YouTube channel (see URL below) and to do this we would really appreciate your help in getting the message out to all your club’s juniors, team members etc… basically we’re inviting everyone who can pick up a hockey stick to show them what they can do!
To do this, we have set up a Hockey’s Got Talent You Tube Channel http://www.youtube.com/HockeysGotTalent where we will display the best of the best. Take a look on the channel and see some other performers showing what they can do, including England stars Barry Middleton, Helen Richardson and Gemma Darrington plus the amazing University of Birmingham guys showing off their tricks!
We bet there are some real hockey stars out there and we want to see those moves…
How to do it – Steps to show off your hockey talent:
1.) Take a look on the Hockey’s Got Talent You Tube channel to see some cool examples of what can be done http://www.youtube.com/HockeysGotTalent
2.) Start practicing your moves and shaping your 60 second video clip
3.) Once you’ve perfected your moves, record your 60 second clip and upload it to the channel before 31 May 2010
4.) Wait to hear from us to see if you are judged to be one of the winners! You or your players could be in with a chance of showing off in front of a packed house at the 2010 Women’s Champions Trophy in Nottingham in July!
Winners
We are looking for 2 overall winners in 2 categories:
– U18
– Aged 18 or over (as at the 31st May 2010).The individual winners in each of these categories will receive a signed England replica shirt and a brand new adidas hockey stick!
(Please note terms and conditions apply for U18s)
So before you put your stick away for the summer – get practicing and show us that Hockey’s Got Talent!
