Report: 11-12-2004 – Mens 5th’s (5) vs (0) Wakefield 6th’s

December 11, 2004 by Slazenger HC

Slazenger 5ths romped to an easy 5-0 victory over Wakefield sixths in the cup.

The home side took the lead early with a great goal by captain Ian Gordon followed shortly afterwards by a goal from Chris Wood.

Slazengers went from strength to strength as Dave Smyth scored his second in two games. Andy Auty scored the forth goal and Ian Gordon’s strike completed an excellent first half by the Slaz’ team.

Slazenger came out strongly in the second half but couldn’t find the back of the net, with Les Secker keeping a clean sheet and making a few good saves form the chances the defence let slip through.
