Report: 30-11-2002 – Ladies 2nd’s (11) vs (0) Sheffield 6th’s

November 30, 2002 by Slazenger HC

Slazenger continued with their Yorkshire Division 6 promotion challenge with a thumping 11-0 success over Sheffield.

Slazenger broke the deadlock early on with a penetrating move through the heard of Sheffield’s defence and a pinpoint cross was tucked away by Julie Bacon.

The second goal came shortly after when contrant pressure from Slazenger’s strong mid-field was capitalised upon by the Slazenger attack.

Slazenger were relentless throughout the match and the goals flew in at regular intervals.

Louise Pratt, Helen Ramshaw and Claire Mills were all outstanding in midfield, Laura Teasdale was formidable in attack and new-comer Harriett Worth deservedly won the player of the match award.

The Slazenger scorers were Laura Teasdale (4), Julie Bacon (3), Helen Ramshaw, Louise Pratt, Claire Mills and Harriett Worth.
