Slazenger fourths surrendered a 2-0 half-time lead and were eventually beaten 3-2 by Boston Spa thirds.
Veterans Ian Gordon, capitalised on Slazenger’s superiority with two first half strikes but the second period witnessed some fiercely fought hockey.
Slazenger competed well with Si Killy and man of the match Ricky Wilby in outstanding form.
But Boston clawed their way back into the game and, having levelled the game at 2-2, scored the winner in the closing minutes.
