Slazenger 5th’s edged past Huddersfield 7th’s 1-0 amid driving rain on Saturday.
Both sides had excellent chances to win the game, but superb goalkeeping and defending kept everyone on tenterhooks.
The break came from a short corner in the second half with Richard Baker sneaking the bal home at the far post.
The final 15 minutes were very tense, but Slaz help firm. All Slaz players were on form, especially Haydn Foster, Eddie Richardson and Graham Parker, with left back Rob Halliwell named man of the match having saved two short corners on the line.
