Return after the Christmas Break

Christmas and the New Year are well and truly out of the way. Its time to dust off the hockey sticks, find that missing shin pad and get back to the pitch! Seniors Since the league resumes this weekend (week commencing 4th January), training is running as per usual Juniors Junior training resumes on Sunday 10th and Monday 11th. Slazengers Mens 2nd team found themselves travelling to Tadcaster on Saturday for a 10.30am push and with a number of players suffering from Christmas parties the previous evening, found themselves 4-0 down at half time. The scoreline didn't fully reflect the game as Slazengers created a number of chances and had an open goal gone in when the score was 2-0, things could have been a lot closer. Report: 19-12-2015 – Mens 4th’s (5) vs. (2) Chapeltown 4th’s

Slazengers 4s finished their 2015 with a home game against Chapeltown who have provided a few tasty clashes over the years so it was not a game to be missed. Slaz started brightly with many attacking opportunities created through Steve Johnson and eventually they scored with a short corner from Harry Gunning. Report: 13-12-2015 – Ladies 3rd’s (2) vs. (1) Sheffield University Bankers 3rd’s

On Sunday Slazengers took on the promising Sheffield University bankers team in a home league fixture. Bankers started strongly getting the first goal of the game from a short corner. This was a wake up call for Slazengers who began to show their attacking intent with a number of breaks up the right flank by joint player of the match Amy Brereton.
