Mens 1st's (2) vs. (5) Bradford 1st's The men's first's were away to in-form Bradford last week. Despite some spells of promising Hollywood hockey the game wasn't to go their way. Bradford were the first to open their account when White passed to their centre forward 5 minutes in leaving just Loftus in net to beat. Congratulation to the Men's over 40's who joined forces with Huddersfield HC, to enter the England Hockey Summer Over 40's National Competition (Tier 2). The team made it all the way to the final, facing off against National League side Hampstead & Westminster. In a close fought match, they were edged out 5-2; picking up the silver medals. The FIH published the new Rules of Outdoor Hockey in December 2018. These took effect internationally from 1 January 2019, but National Associations have discretion to decide the date of implementation at national level. As communicated on 18th December 2018, England Hockey chose not to implement the changes during the 2018-19 season.
