The game got off to a good start when Tuddenham found the net after 10 minutes, which was surprisingly quick when you consider it’s taken him 2 months to lose it! Coronavirus: All Hockey Suspended
In line with the Governments announcements, England Hockey has taken the decision to suspend all national activity and is recommending all leagues and clubs suspend theirs. Slazenger Hockey Club has taken the decision in accordance with the guidance issued by England Hockey, to suspend all hockey activity until at least 15th April 2020 Yorkshire Youth Hockey have confirmed all junior hockey is postponed. Men's 1st's (2) vs. (3) Rotherham 1st'sMen's 1sts travelled to local rivals Rotherham 1st's for a well contest game. Slazenger were missing centre forward Tuddenham, and so the goal scoring fell to Danny Perry to net 2 goals. However, Rotherham were the stronger team on the day, taking their chances and securing a 3-2 win. Mens 1st's (2) vs (2) Kingston-Upon-Hull 1st's One of those two game weekends that the Mens Firsts thrive on last weekend. Saturday saw the firsts take on Hull, this time without the assistance of their umpires (although not for the lack of trying). Ladies 1sts (3) vs. (3) Driffield 1sts The ladies 1’s travelled to Driffield on Saturday to take on the leagues top side. Having failed to gain a point away from home in recent weeks - Slaz hoped to put an end to the points drought.
