Returning To Hockey
On Friday 07 August 2020, England Hockey announced the move to Stage 4, the return of competitive activity but not yet the return of competitive leagues. This allows us to train (in groups up to 30), play intra-club 7’s and friendly games at a local level in preparation for the return of league hockey (Stage 5). International Hockey now free to watch
The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has decided to withdraw any geo-blocking in place for all FIH Hockey Pro League matches from 2019 and 2020 on its free video platform www.FIH.live. No login is required and full length matches from the international game are available to stream free. The same will apply for all FIH Hockey Olympic qualifiers, which were played in October and November last year. End of Season Events Cancelled
Given the current situation with relation to Covid-19 it is clear that it will not be possible to run the club End of Season Dinner. The likelihood of the current epidemic extending into May also means that the committee have decided to postpone the Junior End of Season BBQ. Since the situation is still developing, it is hard to know when large gatherings will be allowed, or when the Government will allow venues to re-open.
