Annual Primary School Tournament a Success

[singlepic=2348,450,300,,center]   On Tuesday 15th, Slazenger Hockey Club hosted its annual primary school hockey tournament, this year with an olympic theme. Working with the Woodkirk schools partnership, the tournament is a result of coaching and hockey development in local schools. Shake Up of Yorkshire & Northern Leagues

The Yorkshire Leagues for the 2012-13 season have been published, and it means some changes for all of our Teams. Full listings are avaliable on the YHA website - www.yorkshireha.org.uk. Mens Section As a result of Halifax 1st's voluntarily relegating themselves 2 divisons, and YHA's move to set consistant 12 team leagues means that the Mens 1sts will move into Division 1 as part of the top 4 moving up. Slazenger U14 Boys – Yorkshire Champions

After finishing second in the Yorkshire Youth Hockey League, the U14 boys (including 2 girls) travelled to Halifax on what turned out to be a very cold and wet Sunday afternoon. The eight teams had been split into two mini leagues with the top two in each league contesting a knockout semi-final and final. All games were a 25 minutes with no half time.
