Mens 1 Mens 1st's Hosted Ben Rhydding 2nd's at addingford for their last game of the season. The game started at pace, but both teams enjoyed a good share of the posession. At half time, however it was the hosts who found themselves 3-2 up. In the second half, the game was less equally balanced, with Slaz having more posession and control of the game. Mens 1 Slazenger Men’s Firsts hosted Leeds at home on Saturday, and after a few weeks of poor performances the First Team were back on form… Determined to finally heed the mantra of statesman Chamberlin, the Firsts came out with ‘attack wide defend narrow’ ringing in their heads. Ladies 1 Ladies 1sts saw their second victory on the bounce, with a 2-0 victory over mid table Doncaster. After the win against Wakefield last week, Slazenger started the strongest with some fast attacking play. Early in the half, this yeilded results with a string of penalty corners, allowing Helen Hough to convert for the first. Mens 1st's (5) vs. (3) Hull University 1st's Mens 1st's hosted Hull University 1st's at Slazenger HC. Slaz got off to a rapid start, slotting 3 goals away within the first 20 minutes; a goal from Richard Tuddenham, and 2 powerful strikes dispatched by James Swinden. Mens 1st's The joys of Sheffield Hallam away befell the Men’s first eleven this week with a cold dark four thirty away game at Abbeydale. Some interesting navigational choices saw half the team arrive four minutes before the start of the game, come the push back, it showed.
