We are committed to making hockey welcoming and accessible to everyone. We pledge to promote equality, diversity and inclusion, prevent discrimination, and uphold England Hockey’s Equality Policy.
At Slazenger Hockey Club, we commit to:
- Treat all members, volunteers, officials and visitors with dignity and respect.
- Ensure no one is treated less favourably because of age, disability, gender identity, marital/parental status, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or other relevant characteristics.
- Make reasonable adjustments where required to reduce barriers to participation.
- Promote fair, transparent and inclusive practices in team selection, volunteering, coaching, officiating and governance.
- Take action against discrimination, harassment, bullying or victimisation.
All members are expected to uphold the values of equality and inclusion, and inappropriate behaviour may lead to disciplinary action.
Concerns or complaints should be raised with the Club Secretary and will be handled promptly and fairly.
The policy will be reviewed every three years (or sooner if required by England Hockey guidance or law).
