Slazenger Hockey Club is committed to making hockey welcoming and accessible to everyone. We pledge to promote equality, diversity and inclusion, prevent discrimination, and uphold England Hockey’s Equality Policy.
At Slazenger Hockey Club, we commit to:
- Treat all members, volunteers, officials and visitors with dignity and respect. We ask that the same values are showed in return.
- Ensure no one is treated less favourably because of age, disability, gender identity, marital/parental status, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or other relevant protected characteristics.
- Make practical reasonable adjustments where required to reduce barriers to participation.
- Promote fair, transparent and inclusive practices in team selection, volunteering, coaching, officiating and governance.
- Take action against discrimination, harassment, bullying or victimisation.
All members are expected to uphold these values. Inappropriate behaviour may lead to disciplinary action and/or expulsion from Slazenger Hockey Club.
Concerns or complaints should be raised with the Club Secretary and will be handled promptly and fairly in line with Club policy..
The policy will be reviewed every three years (or sooner if required by England Hockey guidance or law).
