Competitive Summer Leagues
Slazengers has entered mens and ladies teams into the summer league competition down at Wakefield. They run on a Thursday night, every fortnight. To get involved, talk to your captain.
Social Mixed Knock-around 13th April – 11th May
For the next month, on Wednesday nights, there will be a mixed knock around. It totally informal and open to all adults, U14/16’s who want a bit of a run around. £3 per week, just turn up and play.
Wednesdays 8-10pm; All welcome.
Mixed Social Summer League – 18th May – 29th June
As per usual, Slaz will be running a Social Summer League. This is a good chance to have a bit of fun and play some hockey in a relaxed (and hopefully sunny) atmosphere. The tournament is open to any senior players and U14/16’s, especially those who are playing senior/ Saturday hockey.
Its £3 per week, running from 7 weeks Wednesday 18th May – 29th June
There will be 2 fixture slots, 8-9pm and 9-10pm and a different opposition each week. The winners will be engraved on the trophy summer jug (kept behind the bar for those hat-trick heroes!)
For those who haven’t played before, teams are assigned before the tournament, and are levelled to try and make the competition as fair as possible. To make it work however, we need to know if you are able to make all the fixtures, or if you might only be able a few.
