Players that qualified for the JAC ‘Tournament’ in 2010 are asked to come to the JAC assessment days only. All players that did not qualify and new players must attend this seasons JDC programme.
At Slazenger HC we will be using the core skills throughout our sessions that apply to both JDC, JAC and JRPC so all sessions at the clubs training will be of great value to every player.

Junior Development Centre Programme for 2010/2011.
The JDC Programme for West Yorkshire has a stronger Club bias about it this year as we reflect the Single System notion of the Club being central to a players involvement in the game and life long enjoyment of PLAYING HOCKEY.
The JDC is the first step in a players progression towards higher level coaching and playing and international recognition.
The GIRLS JDCs will be based on combination of School & Club venues, whilst the BOYS JDCs will be very much Club orientated. More detail below.
Girls JDCs will be based in the five big conurbations.
Bradford, Halifax(Calderdale), Huddersfield(Kirklees), Leeds, Wakefield.

Bradford / Halifax / Huddersfield:
Leeds & Aire Valley – Ben Rhydding / Bingley / Airedale / Leeds / Adel / Ramgarhia;
Wakefield / Slazengers / Garforth
Interested Players should attend the Club/School driven midweek JDC sessions as outlined in the List below, and also the review/assessment sessions held jointly by the Consortium / Partnership group.
A Player does not have to be a member of a Club to take part but be enthusiastic about taking part. A fresh face is most welcome to be involved in both Boys & Girls JDCs and should attend the nearest and most convenient session that suits them and their family.
Non participation will indicate that a player does not wish to participate in the JDC/JAC programme.
Players will be selected from the end of JDC Programme Tournament to attend an Assessment Day for the JAC activity (Junior Academy Centre) in early 2011 and then progress on to JRPC (Junior Regional Performance Centre) if of a suitable standard.
The JDC end of programme Tournament will be held on 21st November for U13(born in 98)/14s(97) and 28th November for U15(96)/16(95) players.
Players who were selected to play for the JAC Team in the 2010 North JAC Championships will be invited to the JAC Assessment Day, all other players …… those who did not gain JAC selection, and new JDC players are expected to experience the JDC system and take part in the end of programme Tournament.
