PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Please ensure you give your vote to your team manager. You can only vote for ONE person in your actual age group, and you must not vote for yourself. The person you nominate should be the player who you feel has given the most to the TEAM this season at training and when playing in matches not just someone who is your friend.
HELP WANTED
For your junior section to be able to grow it needs volunteers who can commit their time to help, be it at training, as team secretaries, or at social events. Training courses to help give a better understanding of the sport are available to anyone who wants to help our section for more details please contact Steve Wood (07802 235805). stevewood17@googlemail.com
Please consider putting yourself forward and get involved with your club. It’s not as hard as you may think, and you may even enjoy it!
RECRUITMENT DRIVE
We have seen fewer of the “younger end” (U12’s) attending Slazenger Juniors this year, therefore whilst we welcome new members of all ages we would practically like to encourage increased membership from school year 6 and below. Please spread the word to all you know that may be interested.
In addition one initiative we are pursuing is the possibility of a number of “summer” dates where schools and other youth groups can enter a squad to play in a 7-a-side tournament at the club, with the added benefit of an hour or so of training beforehand.
