Presentation Day & BBQ
We will be holding what has become one of the highlights of our social calendar on 10th May at the club. The format will be the same as in previous years. 10am till noon “Parents v Kids” followed by a BBQ and presentation’s to all age groups. It is important that we know numbers in advance for catering. Tickets will be available soon at training and from coaches on match days, 4.50 Adults & 2.50 for Children. Alternatively complete and send off the slip below with your payment. Ticket price also includes entry into the raffle (for which prizes would also be gratefully received).

Could all winners of last years trophies please make arrangements to return them before the end of the season.

Player of the Year.
Please ensure you give your vote to your team manager. You can only vote for ONE person in your actual age group, and you must not vote for yourself. The person you nominate should be the player who you feel has given the most to the TEAM this season at training and when playing in matches not just someone who is your friend.
Help Wanted.
As your junior section grows more pressure is being put on all the volunteers who commit their time to help, be it at training, as team secretaries, or at social events. Training courses to help give a better understanding of the sport are available to anyone who wants to help our section for more details please contact Steve Wood (07802 235805). swood@ossett17.freeserve.co.uk

Please consider putting yourself forward and get involved with your club. It’s not as hard as you may think, and you may even enjoy it!

Special Request for Help ‘New’ Tom White Needed!
After a number of years commitment to Slazenger Juniors, Tom White has given notice of his intent to resign as a committee member at the end of this season. I am sure you will all join us in thanking him for all he has done for your club. Whilst his enthusiastic and vocal encouragement of all the teams he has managed will be hard to follow, it is what he has done “behind the scenes” as treasurer where we have an absolute need to “fill boots”. All interested parties please contact Tom (01924 273786) tom136white@aol.com or come along to a committee meeting (16th March or 20th April).
