Slazenger Mens 2nd’s promotion hopes took a battering when they lost 6-4 at home to Airedale.
The home side came back from a goal down to take the lead with goals from Ben Graham and Tim Carr but Airedale leveled the scores just before half-time.
Slazenger pushed forward after the break but were twice cought on the break as the visitors went 4-3 up. Carr scored his second of the match, but Airedale soon restored their two-goal lead. Neil Croucher put the home side back in he match but as soon as they searched for an equaliser, Airedale broke to score a decisive sixth.
Slazenger entertain league leaders Chapeltown next week
