(July 2012) – SLAZENGER SUMMER SOLSTICE SEVENS 2012
After the success of the 2011 event, the solstice sevens tournament will be back again! The Solstice 7′s tournament was held for many years, though stopped running in 2001. In 2011, the event was resurrected to great success. 8 mens and 6 ladies teams battled it out to be crowned solstice champions. The competition involved teams from across England. Combined with the live band, food, drink and socialising it was a fantastic event for the club. The event is there to build the profile of the club, raise money for the future pitch replacement, and have a great summer event for the club to get involved in. Slazenger only fields one team for each mens and ladies competitions, but for everyone else its a great weekend to watch good hockey and socialise. And this year promises to be bigger and better….
